Dominion

Posted on May 31, 2019May 31, 2019 by Dharma Documentaries
A film from Australia on the domination of man over animals, and what the costs of that are every day.

Dominion

The way we treat animals who share this earth with us is beyond appalling, and will be seen at some point, as unacceptable as the Germans treated Jews, whites treated blacks, and men treated women.

The fact is for some time these people had dominion over others, and through ignorance, not understanding the laws of karma, treated them without thought, seeking only their own short term benefit, unaware of how their actions come back to them, or how history will judge them.

This film is mainly made in Australia and looks at the incredibly viscous way animals are treated in factory-farms and other facilities, seemingly oblivious to the suffering they are causing on a massive scale everyday.

They do so of course because there is a demand for meat-products, ‘scientific’ research and entertainment, no matter what the hidden costs are. The only way to stop it is to stop the hiding of it. Most people will not be able to stomach even 10 minutes of this film, but really it should be required viewing, just as viewing the concentrations camps were after WWII.

Only if we see what is going on will we change our behaviour, and insist on another way forward. For those who would like to assist in getting this message across can donate to the non-profit film makers and organisers at www.dominionmovement.com.

That is sickening. I’m glad I watched some of it (couldn’t watch it all). Samsara. Foul footage such as this is helpful if it motivates one to change behaviour, and best if all if it motivates one to fervently go for Refuge in the Triple Gem with the aim of being of benefit to all sentient beings.
