A Monk’s Life

Posted on November 25, 2019November 25, 2019 by Dharma Documentaries
A look at the life and thoughts of a young Thai meditation teacher.

A Monk’s Life

This is a short film based around the story of a Thai computer programmer who became a monk, and who now teaches meditation online and around the world.

The film begins with Monk John going into self-retreat for a week to take a break from what is now a busy schedule.

We see him going for piṇḍapāta with other young monks, and some of the duties he has around the monastery, including cleaning up and so on.

Meanwhile Monk John reflects on his life, and why it is so meaningful to him, and how it can help others to attain peace of mind.

We also see him at many places around the world sharing meditation and Dhamma with peoples from many different backgrounds and cultures.
