The Crow Birth (told by Margo McLoughlin)

Posted on July 29, 2019July 29, 2019 by Dharma Documentaries
A retelling of Jātaka 140 in which the Bodhisatta in born as a crow and saves his fellows from a brahmin's anger.

The Crow Birth

This is the another of the stories based on the Jātakas that are retold by Margo McLoughlin. At present it is also the last one posted, but we do hope for more in the future.

This one relates Jātaka 140 in which the Bodhisatta was reborn as a King of the Crows, and through his determination on loving-kindness (mettā) saved his people from destruction.

The story is told by Margo in words and mime with her usual wit and understanding, and a performance of these stories would be a treat to see. If you are in Canada it might also be possible, so do check out her website, margostoryteller.net.
