The Dalai Lama, Inner Peace and Non-Violence

This is a recording of a talk on the subject of inner peace and non-violence given by H.H. the Dalai Lama in Milan, Italy at an unknown date.

The film shows His Holiness arriving and greeting the assembled crowds, and thanking those who organised and introduced the event, before settling down for the talk.

The talk itself has various themes, like the promotion of human values, religious harmony, the practice of non-violence, determination, compassion and inner disarmament.

What sets the talk aside is the beautiful presentation, with ambient music, emphasis of key points in subtitles, and views of the packed audience listening to the talk.

It made me think that with just a little imagination talking-head type films could really be enhanced, and capture the interest of the viewer.

The message is, of course, thoughtful and optimistic and delivered as always from His Holiness’ heart, and the film is a worthy tribute to a great Bodhisattva.
