This is an interesting short film (10 mins) about a couple of worthy projects that are being run in Ladakh and by Ladakhis themselves.
The first is an ingenious way of capturing and preserving water in ice pyramids so there is enough water still available during the spring, which normally brings drought.
The second is a school organised under the the Students Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh (SECMOL) that is being run to provide educational opportunities to young Ladakhis.
We see some of the beautiful scenery of Ladakh, but also some of the environmental damage that is being caused by tourism; and there are also interviews with the people who set up, and those who have benefited from, these projects.
