HOME: The Statistics

Posted on October 2, 2010September 19, 2018 by Dharma Documentaries
Here I have collected together some statistics from the film HOME in a sequence which is worthwhile spending some time contemplating.

Yesterday I showed the documentary HOME, and today I would like to share with you some of the statistics given in the film. For about 4 minutes there is a telling sequence of written information, followed by an illustrative clip. I have collected together some stills from that sequence which are worthwhile spending some time contemplating.

    Dear Bhante

The statistics are mind numbing. Maybe as Eliot says the world will go out with a whimper and not a bang as all these events and facts add up over the years. It is not that we do not know but that despite the knowledge nothing is ever done. This reminds me of Nazi Germany where the excuse was always, “We did not know” even though things were clear enough!
