Slaughterhouse

Posted on November 9, 2018November 9, 2018 by Dharma Documentaries
An uncompromising look at what really happens behind the closed doors of the slaughterhouses.

Slaughterhouse

Paul McCartney once famously said: If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be vegetarian. I would like to think so, but it seems people can ignore any amount of unwarranted violence if it suits them.

This film made in Mexico is an attempt to give the slaughterhouses glass walls so you can see exactly what is happening inside them. If you chose to continue eating meat, this is what you are voting for: unbridled violence against fellow creatures.

I have seen some terrible films about this subject before, and must rank as one of the worst of them, but this one I simply couldn’t watch through. I have taken stills, especially of the statistical information, and I publish the film here, mostly unseen.

The film has no narration, just a steady gaze at the atrocities happening inside the slaughterhouses with occasional slides giving vital statistics about the creatures that are being abused. It is sickening beyond belief.
