Although this is a simple and short (30-minute) cartoon version of the Life of the Buddha it manages to pack more of the story, and most importantly, more of the Dhamma in to it, than most other Lives I have seen.
It even manages to include some of the discourse teachings, like the exchange with Kasi Bharadvaja, and the writer is obviously well-versed in his subject, better than most.
The film is a credit to its makers, Ultra, and my only regret is that it is not longer. How I wish that filmmakers would see that it is the Dhamma that is the central part of the story, not simply the Life, important though that is.
