This is from a series of films by Global Television shot all over world, giving well photographed introductions to various places, of which we will be focusing on the ones of interest to Buddhists.
The films are quite light introductions to their subjects, mainly good photography, well chosen soundtracks, and a reasonable, but sometimes inaccurate, narration giving a cultural and historical introduction to its subject.

This is a short film about the Banteay Srei temple in the Angkor zone in Cambodia. Built in the 10th century by courtiers to King Rajendravarman II it is one of the most lovely of the Khmer sites and has intricate stone work illustrating scenes from various Hindu epics.
The film is informative and gives a short introduction to the site, which hopefully will encourage people to visit, as this is one of the more memorable places in Angkor, but is situated outside the main area around Angkor Thom.
The temples were carved from red sandstone and was lost for many centuries, only being rediscovered and restored from the 1920s onwards. Unfortunately it has suffered some loss to pilfering and art thieves, but a lot that was carried away has now been returned.
