Yu Garden, Shanghai

Posted on January 21, 2019February 7, 2019 by Dharma Documentaries
An informative visit to the Yu Gardens in Shanghai built during the Ming Dynasty and maintained in fine fashion today.

Yu Garden, Shanghai

This is a look at the Yu Gardens in Shangai which were built in the 1600s by Pan Yunduan as a tribute to his parents, and is situated in front of the Old Town Bazaar area in Shangai, China.

The gardens are spread over 2 hectares, and feature many different sites, including the Big Rockery, the Hollow Jade sculpture, various halls and gardens.

The film itself is very informative about Chinese gardens and other aspects of Chinese culture, and I have made screenshots of all of the slides in the film and embed them in a Facebook album below.
