This is a wonderful rendition of the third Great Compassion Mantra as found in the Chinese tradition with some beautiful images compiled by Michiko. The video seems to have been uploaded with the victims of the Japanese Tsunami in mind, and we all remember the people swept away unawares on that dreadful April morning – hoping that they have all found a good rebirth and can make further progress through this fearful sa?sara.
As far as I have been able to find out this is the actual mantra that is being chanted:
tathagataya arhate samyak-sambuddhaya
nama? sarva-tathagatebyah arhatebya? samyak-sa?buddhebya?
nama? arya-avalokitesvaraya bodhisattvaya mahasattvaya mahakaru?ikaya
o? dhara dhara dhiri dhiri dhuru dhuru
iti vatte cale cale pracale pracale
kusume kusume vare ili mili citijvalamapanaye
