This film follows a group of about 20+ Yoga practitioners from Russia on a trip to Tibet, where they visit many wonderful and inspiring places culminating in a pilgrimage around Mout Kailash, the most holy mountain for Tibetan Buddhists.
The film and takes the time to interview the participants before they leave Moscow to understand their expectations; while on the road in Tibet, which was very tough at times; and at the end of the pilgrimage to understand what they have learned from the experience.
On the tour they visit Samye Monastery, Chimpu, Ganden Monastery, and important places in Lhasa, such as the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. They then continue on to Lake Monasarovar and Mount Kailash itself. They also visit Gangdze and Purang after the main pilgrimage.
The film is very well made, with beautiful visuals and stunning scenery. There is also some very good graphics to illustrate some of the historical scenes necessary for a full understanding of the context. I have previously featured the same group when they went on another pilgrimage to Tibet, at an earlier date, so if you appreciate this film, please do look up their other pilgrimage too.
