This is the second of the non-verbal videos by Yurara Sarara on the gardens in Japan, this one focuses on the Zen gardens, mainly in Kyoto, Shiga, Nara, and Okayama. Unlike the gardens we saw last week, these are the more stylized gardens in the Zen tradition.
A little different from the first film is also the slow gliding of the frame, never disruptive, but nearly always moving, unlike in the first video where this was used much less. The soundtrack is again minimal and ambient, with the sounds of the gardens underlying the ambient music played on piano, which I believe is also by the author.
Both of these films are very meditative in their approach, and the thing that always shines through is how peaceful the gardens are, and what a pleasure it is to just be in the presence of these beautiful scenes.
