Koyasan Shingon Buddhism

Posted on January 15, 2018September 29, 2018 by Dharma Documentaries
A non-narrative film from the head temple of the Shingon esoteric sect in Japan.

Koyasan Shingon Buddhism

These are excerpts from an unfinished film about esoteric Shingon Buddhism at the Koyasan Temple near Osaka.

This short film is non-narrative as it stands, and it mainly consists of beautifully shot outtakes from in and around the temple.

The photography is exceptional, and it is recommended to watch it in high resolution to get the best out of it.

It is a pity that the main film seems never to have been made, as it was scheduled to be shot in 2014-5.
